Megan Braun is a mixed media artist with cerebral palsy.

Artist’s Statement

I like experimenting with the various ways colors can interact with each other and I also enjoy working with line. I use a variety of mediums, including pencil, marker, and paint.

I find inspiration from viewing the work of my community of fellow artists, both in person and on social media. I have a little plan in mind but I let the work take me on a journey of creating. “Mistakes” give me a sense of direction as to what comes next during the process.

Making is simply a fulfilling and enjoyable process for me. I’ve found community, friendships, and connections through art. Consistent creation has helped me as an artist and a person.
